Megan Goldner Designs (MGD)


1. Warranty

  • We offer a three-month manufacturing warranty on all items purchased directly from Megan Goldner Designs.

  • The warranty period starts from the date you receive the goods in person or from the courier.

1.1 What the Warranty Covers

  • Manufacturing defects in workmanship or materials.

  • Any necessary repairs or adjustments identified as a result of normal use during the warranty period.

1.2 Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • Resizing of chains, rings or bracelets.

  • Oxidation or natural tarnishing of metals.

  • Normal wear and tear, loss of gemstones, product loss or theft.

  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or neglect, including damage to chains, ear-backs, nose rings or other body jewellery.

  • Alterations or repairs done by any third party without written authorisation from MGD.

1.3 Claims Procedure

  • If a defect is discovered, return the item to MGD for inspection.

  • We will determine whether the defect falls within the warranty.

  • Shipping and insurance costs for returning items are the customer’s responsibility and are non-refundable.

  • Items must be returned in their original packaging.


2. Repairs Outside Warranty

  • If damage is deemed outside the warranty or occurs after the three-month period, MGD will quote for any repairs.

  • Customers are responsible for all repair, shipping and/or insurance costs.


3. Returns & Exchanges

  • We do not offer refunds.

  • If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we may offer exchange or store credit within 14 days of delivery, provided:

    • The item is unused and returned in its original, undamaged packaging.

    • You have notified us within the 14-day period.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable and the cost of returning the item is the customer’s responsibility.

  • We recommend using registered mail or door-to-door courier services; MGD is not liable for items lost in transit.


4. Custom & Personalised Items

  • Custom or personalised items—including keepsake resin pieces, customised resin items and rings set with personalised stones—cannot be refunded or exchanged, as these items cannot be resold.

  • Once production has started, we cannot accept design changes. Any changes must be requested within 24 hours of placing your order.

  • Wide and stack rings require additional width. We automatically allow for a half to one full size increase for such designs.

  • MGD does not take responsibility for incorrect ring sizes provided by the customer.

  • If the incorrect size is ordered, resizing can be quoted once the ring is returned. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs.


5. Handmade Nature

  • All pieces are handmade and small variations or slight imperfections may occur.

  • These characteristics are part of the unique, hand-crafted nature of MGD jewellery.


6. Commissions & Design Time

  • We welcome commission enquiries but reserve the right to decline any commission at our discretion.

  • Custom design time includes 30 minutes (typically 3–5 emails, WhatsApp exchanges or phone calls) and is included in the quoted price.

  • Should the design process exceed this time, a pro-rata design fee of R750.00 per hour will apply. You will be advised before any additional charges are incurred.

  • Expedited orders may incur an additional R450.00 fee.
